In April 2007, NinJo 1.2.5 was delivered and is now used at the DWD operationally.
The following features have been implemented:
Sounding forecasts in sounding layer available
- Comparison of forecast and observation data
It is now possible, to select between NWP and point forecast data. The observation data can be compared with the forecast data in the sounding diagram. Models and model runs can be selected via the menu.
Stabilisation of memory usage
A better handling of memory and data caching makes NinJo more stable. Users can monitor the memory in a status bar in the client
Surface layer: new symbols for automated stations
Nnew fonts for sigwx and extra symbols for wawa (automated reports) ware added.
TAF-Guidance and MOS-Guidance meteogram complete
The TAF-Guidance and the MOS-Guidance meteogram visualise now all elements.
For the MOS-Guidance meteogram, the following models are available:
- MOS-EZMW
- MOS-GME
- MOSMIX
- MOS-Guidance meteogram
- TAF-Guidance meteogram
New DWD products in the radar layer
For the DWD, new radar products are available (PX, PE, PH, PY). Meteorologists profit from these products within the warning process.
The PH product (which comes in every 5 minutes!) contains the precipitation amount of the last 60 minutes.
The PY proudct contains the precipition amount of the last 24 hours.
